Have you ever noticed that the best parts are generally on top or at the beginning? The crust of warm bread, the top of a muffin, raw cookie dough, frosting, the anticipation of a gift… This is also applied to writing. In order to capture a reader’s attention you have to have a great opening paragraph so that the person will be interested enough to read the meat. The meat of a story is critical but when it comes to blogs people are rarely focused enough to get beyond 100 words; this means that either the writer has to make everything as interesting as the opening paragraph or they have to stop within a couple hundred words. I am not gifted enough to be creative for many pages so I have chosen the latter method. Blogs are quite tricky because we all become self important, especially if someone has asked us to write a blog.

This means of course the blog can be long winded, make sense to only a handful of people, and be completely exhausting. My word count is 194, I stop now.
